Hardtail with an upright feel, more like an all mountain bike
« on: January 17, 2009, 03:18:32 am »
I am looking into buying a new hardtail as I have a full susser already. The hardtail I have now is the old maxlight, not the 120. Due to it's race position when on the bike I end up with a bad lower back on long rides, so I am looking for something with a more upright feel to it like an all mountain bike. The first bike that caught my eye was the 2008 GT ZASKER EXPERT as I thought the overall spec was top notch for the price. But now the 2009 version is out and now I hate everything about it, including the price.

I will be buying on a finance deal online as my LSB does not do finance.

What do you suggest???

Depending on what you intend to do with the new bike, you may be in the wrong forum for advice.

This is a touring group and most of the expertese is concerned with multi-day supported or fully self-contained tours, not MTB day riding.
