Touring on a Recumbent Trike
« on: February 20, 2009, 06:51:04 am »
Howdy!  Newbie on Board!  Newbie in many respects - new to touring and new to recumbents.  My wife and I have Greenspeed Anura model delta trikes (delta is 2 wheels in the back) that we plan to hook up as a tandem and try to get into touring.  We plan to start very slowly, but we want to start. I have been reading with much interest and delight the multitude and variety of experiences out there.  Can you comment of what you have seen, heard, learned, or just what you think about folks touring on recumbent trikes? Thanks!

Huge trike community. There is a Trike-Only Tour in Idaho each year, search for TOT.

Hey, but don't disappear from here to those sites. We need more bent and trike posters on this board.

Bents aren't my cup of tea, but we met a number of bent riders on the TA, several on trikes.  They were doing fine and really like their choice.

Welcome!
I took my trike on the ACA Great Parks tour a few years ago and had a great time.  Planning on doing the Lewis & Clark this summer.
