How Many ACA Map Tours Are Done Each Year?

Just curious, how many people do you think are out there doing ACA tours? I don't recall seeing ACA publish anything along the lines of how many maps they sell per year. I assume there are more than a few hundred of us? Any data points that you know of?

During the calendar year of 2008 31,225 Adventure Cycling maps were sold. This is the total number of maps from map sets and individual map sales. This information will be in this years Adventure Cycling Association annual report.

Some of those maps sets are no doubt sold to dreamers who never take the trip.  But probably others are used by cycle tourists for multiple trips, riding the routes in parts or stages over many years, and still others are used and then shared and reused.
