Florida Cyclists Introduction
« on: March 15, 2009, 12:39:55 pm »
John, I live in Tampa and most likely be moving to Sarasota. It would be great, if the we could have Florida cyclists introduce themselves, where they live, and share some info, similiar to what you did in Colorado. What do you think? Thanks Bob

Hi Bob,
If there is a good amount of activity in this thread I can create a Florida category in the Regional Discussion area and move this thread over. I would like to give this thread a little time to make sure that there is enough participation to sustain its own category.

Thanks John, I am hopeful. I guess we will see. I am on a project in Sarasota, Fl. It is a most bike friendly town, I almost forgot I was in Florida. So many people on bicycles. I thought I was in a Europe. I believe Sarasota has a large Amish community, atleast I think they are Amish. There are lots of them on bicycles. Some are even on electric bikes. They have bicycles, left on lawns and anyone can take one and ride it. Interesting, to say the least.
I was in Venice, Fl. yesterday. They too ride bikes alot. I hope we can generate some fellowship and excitement, among cyclist, in the Sunshine State.
