Hello to Fred Hiltz

Hi Fred.

I've been away for a while, busy on other cycling issues. Thought I'd check in, and am thrilled that you are here helping folks with GPS issues.

For you newbies, Fred is a fountain of GPS info. The ACA is privileged to have such  dedicated members.

I'll second that! Thank you, Fred. Your help to all who ask is one of the reasons ACA is a valuable asset to the the cycling community.

Thanks, Paul,

I am new to this forum. Recently having purchased a garmin eTrex HCx GPS.  As a member of ACA, I am grateful for this forum. As I look around, I see many informative posts by Fred.  Like many of you, who learn from friends in "clubs," I am finding this forum a unique place to find helpful, personal, information from new friends.

I have downloaded ACA GPS Data User Guide to read.  Looks like it would be best to use my PC rather than my Mac, as that may be what garmin likes best.

Will post my questions under a new thread as I am planing to ride west from Cleveland on the Norther Tier next month.

Thanks.  Gary
