Route from Calgary to Banff

Hi, my partner and I are coming over to ride the GDMBR from New Zealand. We are flying into Calgary. We want to ride to Banff as a warm up!!
Can anyone suggest a route for this?
Also looking for accomodation suggestions in Calgary. Somewhere we can assemble bikes etc, a campground or other suggestions? (Have posted this question in general forum too)
