Front Rack
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:02:27 pm »
I am looking for a rack simular to the "Explorer Tubular Rack" by Topeak. This is a rear mounted rack with a "deck" for a trunk bag. I am looking for one that will fit in the front. I have an extra set of baga that I would like to make use of rather than by a new rack and new bags. Any one have any idea of where I can get such a rack or any ideas of how I can use my spare Topeak Explorer rack to fit on the front of my bike? I have a mountian bike with a cro molly fork. (pics are on my blog site at gregbiske@blogspot.com

I am eating my lunch at work, and your site is banned by the net police.  So I cannot see your pics.

JandD has an Extreme Front Rack that might work.

Old Man Mountain has 2 racks that might work: Cold Springs and Sherpa.

I have been having great luck with the Old Man Mountain Cold Springs rack on my mountain bike.  Another really good option is the Surly Nice Front Rack.  Both of these racks will run you around $130-$140, are built to last, and will work with a 26" cromoly fork.
