Southern Tier East to West.
« on: August 28, 2009, 08:22:12 pm »
I am giving serious thought to cycling from Florida to San Diego when the weather cools, starting October or November. I am a guy, 59. If anybody wants to do a duo trip around that time or trio or larger, I might be in for it. I am a teacher of English, ESL, EFL, TESOL. I have been teaching in Korea, China, and the Middle East since 1996. I have cycled and camped about 34,000 miles through 19 countries.

If you are a member, you might also want to do a Companions Wanted ad. Check it out at: http://www.adventurecycling.org/mag/companions.cfm

Hi, I'll be in Florida around October and could possibly do a fortnight or so.  Where are you?  My house is in Celebration, Kissimmee and cycled the Southern Tier earlier this year.  Great time and planning to cycle Florida to Vancouver in the spring.  Be good to catch up anyway as always interested in other travellers tales.. www.bike4gus.com

I don't have any specific time for leaving. Between summer and winter I think winter is a better time for a ST tour. I have done it a few times already.
I am waiting for the very cool weather to settle in permanently before going.
