San Antonio to Fredericksburg, TX "mini" bicycle tour

Looking for insight from anyone that has made this journey.  I plan to ride the 65-70 miles, one way, on October 2nd and will overnight in Fredericksburg.  Especially interested in route suggestions and experiences with the roads between here and there.  Thanks!

Just registered for the forums and made a post wanting to ride the Texas Hill Country area the first week of November.  Would like to hear how your ride went and any information you might be able to provide to help make my ride a success.  Frank
