My LHT fit like a glove with drop bars. But I still couldn't get excited about drop bars...I simply prefer to be more upright. So I swapped the drops for Modolo Yuma Traveler bars. LOVE 'em:

I ride a Bike Friday with H-bars (think mountain bike with bar-ends) and recently switched to a Nitto Albatross bar. It has the look of a traditional 3-speed commuter with arms in the "handshake" position. It's very upright and very relaxed - and very comfortable. The Albatross has allowed me to de-stress my upper body.

There will be some wind drag here. Those focused on aerodynamics should look elsewhere.

I too tried the recumbent thing. The experience just left me cold.
