OK, so I'll try again to breathe some life into this moribund part of the forum, given that there's been no action in the past 3 months.  I'm wondering if there are any other PNW bike tourers on this site.  We live in a fantastic part of the country for touring--mountains, prairies, the Pacific Coast, inland waters, rivers, and two of the top 5 bicycling cities in the US--Seattle and Portland.

Howdy.  I'm down in Cle Elum--you may have seen me riding around; I think I've got the only recumbent in town.  I'm not too keen about riding in the snow and slush so maybe we can meet up when the weather gets a bit better.

Wow! thanks for the contact.  I usually start hitting the roads regularly in February.  I look forward to finding another partner.  There are not very many regular riders around here.  Keep in touch.

I am over in Spokane and a semi-regular tourer.  I always ride more in prep for a big ride.  Did the Northern Tier summer 2008 and will do Southern Tier summer of 2011.

I've ridden a lot around the Eastern Washington-Northern Idaho-Western Montana areas.  It's great.  In fact, I'll be riding the supported rideidaho this August with a bunch of friends.  Many of my day rides are in Western Washington around the greater Puget Sound area.  I have family there and know the roads well.

I'm in Snohomish, north and East of Seattle.  There is a 17 mile  (soon to be 30 mile) paved MUT about 5 miles from my house that I ride regularly.  I ride a recumbent trike most of the time, putting about 2500-5000 miles a year on it, depending on which tours I do.  This year I plan on doing Cycle Oregon and the North Cascades route, with the possibility of doing the Olympic Peninsula in there as well.   I hope to do the Northern Tier one summer, but I'm not sure when.

I don't know what a MUT is, but I've ridden the Centenial trail from Snohomish to Arlington a couple of times and then gone back to Snohomish via Burn Rd, Granite Falls, Monroe, even Sultan, Ben Howard RD, etc.  You live in a wonderful biking area, much superior to the Roslyn/Cle Elum area where I live.  Here we have some good loops, but you have to go out early in the day to avoid horrendous winds, and we have poor, bumpy chip seal roads.  I also enjoy going up to the Mt. Vernon/Bellingham area for good roads and rural rides.  In 2004, I rode the Olympic Peninsula loop.  It is a great ride and I thoroughly enjoyed every day.  It was 4 days, 322 miles.  I have yet to ride the North Cascades full route, but have been on  parts if it.
