where can i find cyclist "WHITE" pages???

I'm getting my bike ready and I know there are people all over this country (USA) with unused couches, or free backyard tent space. 

So is there a list somewhere, or do I just knock doors around 5pm?

There's also http://www.couchsurfing.org/ which has an awesome user interface which makes it really easy to find people from all over the world. You can even search by those with couches available, beds, or even someone who will be willing to show you around town and get a cup of coffee. I haven't had the chance to try it personally (taking up an offer that is), but when the chance comes for me to get out there, you can bet this will be my first stop.
