biking Pacific Coast in June and looking for company
« on: May 25, 2010, 12:55:11 am »
I'm planning to cycle the Pacific Coast starting in Port Townsend, WA (ACA route) at the beginning of June (4th or so) with my eventual goal being San Francisco going roughly 50-60 miles per day.  My plan is to start solo, but I'd like to meet up with people as I ride and at least get contact information for riders nearby on the road in case of emergency.  Some questions, then: Is this a realistic approach?  I mean do enough cyclists do this ride at this time of year that I will more than likely bump into fellow cyclists?  Alternatively, is anyone already planning a similar ride that would be willing to exchange contact information?

I think it's highly likely you'll run into other cyclists along this route at this time of year.

Enjoy your trip!
