Bike Path Guide Books for Canada?
« on: June 26, 2010, 04:42:54 pm »
Hi everyone,
Can anyone recommend any English language guide books to bike paths in the Canadian provinces of Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, and/or Nova Scotia?
Thanks,
Neil

The books I use are:
Trail Guide Des Sentiers by the New Brunswick Trail Council
Cycling in Quebec by Velo Quebec Association
Nova Scotia Bicycle Book by Gary Conrad.
Gary Conrad is an excellent source of information on all Atlantic cycling in general
Velo Quebec also very helpful
I can probably dig up more information if you are interested.
I love touring in Quebec, very bicycle friendly with their Route verte
I especially liked the Le P'tit Train du Nord.  I'd that one do it again

I found another one in my library
Cycling in Canada by John M. Smith.  It has bike trips from 1 day to extended tours of Canada

I would add "waterfronttrail.org" for the Ontario portion. I did Toronto to Nova Scotia last year and it was the best tour I've done yet.
