I hope you'll go anyway even if you don't find a partner. You don't really need a partner. It'll be fun without one too.

Hi,I hope so too  :)

The problem I have is with the idea of sleeping alone in a ¨bear area¨ that really scares me.

do you know if it possible to devide the northen route into sections that will allow me to sleep in motels or closed(fenced) campsites ?

Thanks

Ido,

I live in Kelowna BC Canada, prime bear country.  I have spent many years riding, recreating, and camping in bear country.  I have seen and been around bears on numerous occasions.  As long as you practice bear safe camping bears are not really an issue.  If you don't live in bear country people certainly worry far too much about it.  You have a much higher chance of getting hurt on the bike than by a bear!

I have done the section from Banff to the US border with my family (my kids were 6 & 8 and rode tag alongs behind) and we camped for 5 days.  No sign of bears.  There was a few opportunities for hotels as well.

Don't let bears scare you off.
