If my observations are anywhere near correct that one was definitely made up.  Ortleibs are popular, but nowhere near 95% of the folks I have met on long tours were using them.

It is hard to say, Cyclocamping may have accurate information, I might tend to agree, if traveling in Germany. Although I am high on Ortliebs, I have not seen the above # where I have traveled.
