Need to transport luggage in Provence

I will be touring next May with wife and two college age kids. We are looking for a company to transport our luggage from hotel to hotel every other day for about 4 transports total. Does anyone know a company that can provide this service?

Yes we are planning a 6-9 day trip in Provence France. We were hoping we could hire a company to transport our luggage.

I haven't seen anything like that advertised, the easiest thing is probably just to hire a taxi or a local "man with a van" for each journey.   If you tell the hotels in advance, they should be able to recommend someone local.

I toured the Luberon region (including Mt. Ventoux) last September and had outstanding service from the attached company. We rented our bikes from them (carried our own luggage.) They showed up at the Avignon train station with a large van and both bikes. Helped us get all set up (we had brought our own seats and pedals and computers and they helped with the install. The gentleman who drove the van was great, and we actually ran into him on the road outside one of the towns we went through, where he lived. He stopped and chatted with us awhile, checked the bikes over, and offered to help us with anything we needed.

Even though we didn't use them for the sort of service you are proposing, they were so helpful and willing to do whatever we needed I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for what you are proposing. If you haven't rented your bikes yet, they have fantastically well-cared for offerings. We got two Lynskey titanium race bikes, but they have more relaxed choices as well.

They have a Canadian (Paul) on staff who deals with English-speakers. Jean-Michele and Jean both speak English also, but there's a lot of pointing that goes on.

When our tour was over there sat Jean-Michele at the Avignon TGV station at the appointed hour, ready to load our bikes and wish us a speedy return to Paris. He had even kept up with my Thomson seatpost, which didn't fit the Lynskey so I had left it with him.

Perfect experience.

We just got back from a week in Provence in June. We took our Santana triplet with us and did day rides from our base in Isle sur la Sorgue (great town, btw).

I haven't used the service that NoGaBiker mentioned, but while we were in Provence I stopped at their shop at the foot of Mt. Ventoux in Bedoin. Nice folks to deal with (I was looking for a replacement crank for the stripped out Octalink crank on my tandem) and they seemed to have a good variety of rental bikes, including a nice-looking Cannondale tandem. I'd be surprised if they couldn't point you to a luggage service if they don't offer one.

Have you tried Googling "provence self guided bike tour"? I just did, and it comes up with a lot of suggestions. Self-guided bike tours are very popular with Europeans (especially Germans) and usually offer luggage transfer, pre-booked rooms, and rental bikes. You are on your own with the riding part (no guides).

They are very well regarded for their tours, from what I understand.

I did see lots of tour groups while we were out and about. Most seemed to be German or Dutch, but I'm sure they could accommodate English speakers, too.
