Bicycle tour from UT to Cal
« on: August 25, 2010, 06:03:12 am »
I just finished my first Bicycle Tour cross country about a months ago and i had a blast. There were some days i wish i never went but now that i look back i so wish i could still be out there you can feel so free without any worries.

My question is that i am doing another single self supported bike tour and i am headed from southern Utah to San Diego California. Does anyone know of any back roads or any safe streets to ride on without going way back to Monarch Pass etc ? And going south from there.
I'm training for about two years for this and i am planning on riding out about the end of summer and returning to Utah when i get to San Diego.
I have done a bicycle tour before but any advice or people i can contact would be great.

Keep on riding fellow riders

The best route may be to take the Grand Canyon Connector to the Southern Tier.  This isn't the most direct route but it will mostly keep you off the highest traffic roads.  Unfortunately there aren't a lot of paved back roads that will get you from St. George to San Diego.
