in spirit of modesty being among the worst policies, link below is to picture of my newly painted tour easy set up for touring on the p'tit train du nord in quebec. ortlieb motorcycle bags under the seat (qrl2 mounting), ortlieb classic plus bags on the rear rack (also qrl2 mounting). everything in the bags for a two week trip, except the sleeping pad, too stiff to bend into the bags. sweet setup. picture is at the bottom of the webpage.

I love the look of those Tour Easy when they're fully loaded.

Another reason to admire them: I saw a fully loaded Tour Easy, flying a huge flag.  I went to catch up to him to ask about his bike and he handily dropped me on an uphill.  Amazing!

Lovely bikes.  I had one for a while and did a nice desert tour with it, but the design gives me terrible recumbent butt, so, alas, I had to sell it.  I need a higher bottom bracket in my recumbent configurations.  Enjoy the ride!

Cheers,

Scott

Enjoy your ride.
I rode the trail 2 years ago.  Absolutely fantastic ride
Where else are you going?
I'd like to return to Quebec and ride more.  I rode from Montreal to Quebec City and further on my Gold Rush.  Very memorable ride.
Nice bike. Excellent for touring.
I wish I had never sold my Gold Rush.  Bad bad mistake

hi bob,

some other touring cyclists (on tour easys) and i have written up a number of the sweet long distance car free bicycle paths in north america -- the mickelson, greenbrier, great allegheny, c&o, and now the p'tit train du nord.  we've been hoping other cyclists will write up long distance paths they've ridden and not covered well on the website, especially the chief ladiga/silver comet, coeur d'allenes, and kettle valley.  there are probably other great paths we don't even know about.  anyway, the website covers the paths their natural settings, camping and lodging, food water beer ice cream and restaurants, and services along the way.  the site is:
