Is there a piece of electronics out there that will do it all for a tour cyclist?

Bike computer, GPS, Phone, Txt, Camera etc?

Not that I know of. The GPS Discussion group has several posts on the topic. The smart phones have all the functions, but are mediocre cameras and GPS receivers. They are not weatherproof, meaning you have to carry them under cover, not out where you can see them, when you need them most.

Delorme has a new GPS that does Text Messaging and is also a SPOT device. I'd imagine it would be waterproof IPX-7 and could be used somewhat as a bike computer via the GPS functions...   Doubt it takes pictures though.. or can make phone calls..
