Underground Railroad Section 4 closure 2010

Clark County Ohio has closed the portion of the Ohio to Erie Trail that goes through their county due to a budget cut. I'm not sure if this closure is short term or long term. The trail is on the Underground Railroad Route Section 4. Specifically, the route closure is from SR 41 turns onto the trail in South Charleston to the Neil Road crossing 5.4 miles east. I'm not familiar enough with the area to suggest a specific back road detour. There are paved back roads that can be used to get around this closure. US 42 which parallels the trail is a shoulderless 2 lane road that averages 2000 to 2500 vehicles a day.
