BMW F650 Dakar and a Royal Enfield Bullet in my garage.  Put me down for a couple of big thumpers, too.

Well, I guess a Triumph Thunderbird 900 triple puts me in this column also.

Thanks for the props.  It is what Triumph refers to as a "modern classic".  The year is 1995, and it is from the new John Bloor owned Triumph motorcycle company.

Being on 2 wheels is always the best way to travel and I usually pick my ride based on when I need to get there.

In the stable right now:

3 GL1100 - 2 standards and 1 interstate
KLR650
XL185

Way too many Bicycles.

Hi everyone sitting here in UK browsing the net and I found this great sit and in particular this thread.I ride a Honda Blackbird its the fifth one I have owned so I love them but somehow now have a desire to buy a BMW GS. Only problem is I have not got the money to go with the desire so it will have to wait.
Anyway to the point can someone tell me how long it would take to cycle from JFK to Laconia for Bike week and whether there are camp  sites on the way. Can you also tell me whether the route I need to take is cycle friendly as well.
It would be an opportunity to enjoy both of my hobbies.

I didn't realize so many cyclists/motorcyclists were in this org!

I ride a 650 Dakar, Honda XR200 or a 1972 Montesa Cota 242. Betcha no one has a Montesa on this forum!

3 bicycles too.

I've never done that route, but I used Google Maps, and chose the bicycling tab.  They put the distance (depending on the route) at around 313 miles.  Their times are way off, but I would guess around a week trip or less for most folks.
They recommend:

Farmington Canal Heritage Trail
313 mi

or the

N County Trailway and Farmington Canal Heritage Trail

Best,

Gregg
