What do you think would be the best way to reach Washington from Waynesboro in 3 days (or 2)???

Should we approche DC from the south, to north or the west??

What is the best way to cross the busy suburbs in Virnigia?

Thanks!

Waynesboro, VA or PA?

For navigating once you hit the DC metropolitan area, there are lots of options.  You might want to start here:  http://www.waba.org/resources/maps.php

I've done the route Waynesboro, Madison, Culpeper, Quantico, Atlantic Coast Route into DC (via Mt Vernon).  Nice, multiday ride.  Try to avoid SR 28 out of Culpeper.  Andre

Just ride up the Sky Line Drive to Front Royal then over to Purcellville to the W&OD bike path (paved).  Beautiful, low traffic, and will take you to heart of DC.  Take the county roads between Front Royal and Purcellville as they are very beautiful.
