Anyone have info re the ferry across the OIhio river at Cave in the Rock, Il?  If not operating by 5/14, anyone have information re a way across the Ohio from east bound TA Illinois to Kentucky TA?  Blackbear

The number for the ferry operations as you get closer to Cave In Rock is 618-289-4599. I suggest the closest bridge upriver is at Old Shawneetown, IL and is about 30 miles northeast of Cave In Rock. Eastbound, from Cave In Rock, take Hwy. 1 north about 21 miles, then turn right (east) on Hwy. 13 about 9 miles to Old Shawneetown and cross the river. Go 2.2 miles, then turn right (south) on Hwy. 109. Go about 24 miles to Clay where you rejoin the route.

The link mentioned above makes more sense if you are on the Great Rivers Route, while what I'm suggesting makes more sense if you are on the TransAm.
