I lube my chain often, more so if it rains.  I also check my tires with the thumb and finger gauge every morning, to see if I should top off my tires. 

Then, there is the check for loose bolts ever so often...  That's about it.

Air every three days, lube when the chain starts to creak or rain, and not before. More often invites attracting grit. Mostly I make sure everything is absolutely perfect before leaving home.
