Litespeed Sportive Titanium M/L - $1300 Austin, TX

2008 Litespeed Sportive Titanium M/L with Carbon Fork (frame only)

Purchased in January of 2009 and have probably put around 1k miles on it, never dropped, but does have some nicks and rubs from being loaded into a back of a car or bike rack.  I built it up first as a road bike then as a touring bike.  The Sportive model replaced the Blue Ridge model and it's design is to be a comfort road bike / touring bike.  The frame has front and rear eyelets for rack mounting.

Included in the sell is:
- Frame
- Fork
- Cane Creek S2 Headset
- Seat Post Clamp

Only reason I am selling is because I have too many bikes now and this one doesn't get ridden since I built my own custom touring frame.

Here is the manufacturers description:
------------------------------------------
The Sportive represents a bike that you will simply want to ride. A new bike with the long haul Sportive or Gran Fondo event in mind. It has the same race edge of a Litespeed with the enduring comfort of refined geometry and the ride that is titanium. The construction is from US milled, hand fabricated, 3Al-2.5V aerospace quality titanium. There are no compromises in materials or workmanship.

Tapered, butted, lathe cut seat stays with a swept bend improve ride quality maximizing fatigue resistance.
Chain stays are tapered and butted to create a nice smooth, stiff drivetrain with ample tire and component clearance.
An oversized top tube enhances stiffness and control.
Oversized seat tube provides a more efficient power transfer.
Long reach brake specification is very fender mudguard friendly.
Threaded rack eyelets are standard, rather than an option.

GEOMETRY
Size    ML
Top Tube Length (cm)  55.0
Head Tube Angle 73.0

Standover Height (cm) 77.6

what a beautiful bike...
geeeeez.
looks like jewelry really,or art.
fine art
too bad i have a wine taste with a beer budget
i'm guessing if you have this bike, you are not liquidating your bike(s) for gas money so i won't insult you with what my budget can allow.
but man, what a bike.
i've been in the market for a touring bike and the majority of touring bikes are trek520 surly lht etc etc...and i'll probably choose one eventually, but i must admit to staring at these pictures. imagining a 12, 18 month ride with that thing...!!!!....wow!
i'd cover the big logo up for real though...touring with that bike could be dangerous in certain areas no?...
i'd chance it, no doubt. duct tape aroung the flashy logo's and off i'd be.
but to a real bike conoisseur, duct tape won't hide the Litespeed frame one bit...
anyway, if you ever lower your price to at least import beer, get back to me quickly. i'm waiting to sell my house(realtor says anyday now!) and as soon as that happens, the purchasing begins.
thanks buddy
sorry to bother you really
it's just...
...what a beautiful bike!

Thanks for the compliments, but yeah not ready to go into a greater loss then I already am on the bike.  I paid $1600 + tax and shipping on the bike not including headset.  Of course it is used now versus new, but I have had low ball offers as low as $600 and to that I don't respond.

I am debating now to keep this bike and sell my carbon road bike instead.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. I don't blame you for making plans to make that one a keeper!(unless your road bike is a specialized roubaix carbon...best road bike i ever owned and totally regret selling it...then i'd keep the carbon.)
As for the low-ball offers you've received,...can't blame them for trying can we?
If you decide in the near future to actually sell your ti bike, get back to me. I can't pay your asking price, but could pay more than you were offered up to date.
thank you for your time and also posting your beautiful bike on this wonderful site!
happy trails
sylvio
