Camping Site Identifications for Maps (Continental Divide)
« on: October 16, 2011, 08:46:22 pm »
My wife and I will be doing the continental divide next June.

I am curious to see if anyone has done the leg work on identifying each campsite on the route. I see that some or all of the campsites are shown in the narrative, but I wish the tent symbols themselves were accompanied with the tent site names. I have tried identifying some only to find out later that it was a camp site later on in the trail. AHHHH!!

At your convenience

Have you checked out the GPS routes and waypoints?

In this regards this snip shows the information from the ACA Great Divide gpx file.

I have been using the Camp and Tent App for iphone, ipad and droid. It works well and is intuitive. Includes links to more info about the listed sites. You can filter results for tent only, rv park, state park, forest service, etc.
