Utah Cliffs Loop Map 4 - 2012 road closure

State Hwy. 14 east of Cedar City is closed due to a landslide and the clearing/reconstruction will extend into the summer of 2012 so there's a detour to get around the closure. See this link for updates: http://www.udot.utah.gov/main/f?p=100:pg:0:::1:T,V:3571
Eastbound, from the intersection of Center St./SR 14 and Main St./SR 130 in Cedar City, head north on Main St./SR 130. At 4.1 mi., turn right onto Old US Hwy. 91 which parallels I-15. At 12.1 mi., cross I-15 and enter town of Summit (no services). Stay on Old US Hwy. 91. At 19.4 mi., enter Parowan (all services) and turn right onto E 200 S/SR 143. Begin climb. At 30.8 enter Brian Head (lodging and restaurant). At 35.3 mi., turn left following SR 143. The Cedar Breaks Visitor Center is 4.7 mi. S. from this point. At 40.1 mi., rejoin route at the intersection of SR 143 and CR 240/Red Desert Rd. 
Westbound, from the intersection of SR 143 and CR 240/Red Desert Rd., continue on SR 143. At 4.8 mi., turn right following SR 143. The Cedar Breaks Visitor Center is 4.7 mi. S. from this point. At 9.3 mi., enter Brian Head (lodging and restaurant). Begin descent. At 20.7 mi., enter Parowan (all services) and turn left onto Old US Hwy. 91 which parallels I-15. At 28 mi., enter town of Summit (no services), then cross I-15. Stay on Old US Hwy. 91. At 36 mi., turn left onto Main St./SR 130. At 40.1 mi., rejoin route at the intersection of Main St./SR 130 and Center St./SR 14 in Cedar City.
