NYC to Montreal

I am looking for information on a self contained trip from NYC to Montreal.

I took the South, North and Putnam County Trailways to Brewster NY (50 miles from the last stop on the 1 in Yonkers) and it was amazing. It's basically car free and you ride through some beautiful scenery. Would love to hear a recap of your trip when you are done!
